Dear Friends of River Drava 

We invite you to join us in the 7^th European contest in “Žabice” (throwing stones into the river so that they jump of the surface as many times as possible) that will be held in the area of Beli Kipi (same as last year) with the intention to raise the media awareness of an exquisite ecosystem of rich biodiversity (proposed area for Natura 2000), and the changes of the River through the gravel excavation and other similar activities near the riverbed of Drava.

We will start with the events on 19. April and continue till 25. April 2010, this program will also be part of all week activities and the Earth Day celebration.

The preparations for the competition and the pre-contest of juniors will be held on Friday, 23.April at 10 o’clock.

Senior contestants (16 years and up) will contest on Saturday, 24. April at 10 o’clock;

The slogan of the contest is the same as last years- “Let’s Give Drava its Gravel Back”.

We kindly ask all interested who want to enjoy the competition and the beautiful old Drava to confirm their arrival by April 15^th, because of event preparing, contest organization and of the warm meal that will be served by the River Drava.

We believe that our number will be even bigger this year, and we are looking forward to meet you there!
